Make the most of your days in India

Seven months to go for the eleventh edition of WPRF. For many international delegates this might be the first visit to India and you must be wondering how to make the most of it. Here are some suggestions for those who will arrive early.
Eight options to consider for one to seven days of extra time.
The four best airports to arrive into are New Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Chennai. Chennai is the host city.

In case you arrive on Thursday, 14th September (best to arrive in New Delhi) 

We would recommend doing the golden triangle and then head to Chennai on 20th Night via Mumbai or Goa

  • 15th – Sight-seeing in Delhi (Red Fort, Lotus Temple, Qutub Minar, Dilli Haat)
  • 16th – Day trip to Agra and overnight stay in Jaipur
  • 17th – Spend the day in Jaipur (Hawa Mahal, City Palace, Amber Fort)
  • 18th – Fly to Mumbai or Goa for couple of days and reach Chennai on 19th night or 20th morning / Or fly to Chennai and head to Pondicherry to spend 2 days
  • 20th – Day trip to Mahabalipuram (GA board members may do this on 24th)

In case you arrive on Friday, 15th September (best to arrive into New Delhi)

We would recommend doing the golden triangle and then head to Chennai on 20th Night via Mumbai or Goa

  • 16th – Sight-seeing in Delhi (Red Fort, Lotus Temple, Qutub Minar, Dilli Haat)
  • 17th – Day trip to Agra and overnight stay in Jaipur

In case you arrive on Saturday, 16th September (best to arrive in New Delhi)

  • 18th – Day trip to Agra and overnight stay in Jaipur
  • 19th – Spend the day in Jaipur (Hawa Mahal, City Palace, Amber Fort)
  • 20th – Fly to Chennai and aim for a day trip to Mahabalipuram (GA board members may do this on 24th)

In case you arrive on Sunday, 17th September (best to arrive in New Delhi or Mumbai or Chennai) 

We would recommend doing one of the following and then head to Chennai on 20th Night

  • 18th – Sight-seeing in Delhi (Red Fort, Lotus Temple, Qutub Minar, Dilli Haat)
  • 19th – Day trip to Agra and return to Delhi for the night
  • 20th – Fly to Chennai and explore the city

OR

18th – Sight-seeing in Mumbai (Head to South Mumbai, Stay at either Taj Mahal Palace Hotel for the night or at President Mumbai. Walk the Colaba Causeway, hang out at Gateway of India, Take a Boat to the Elephanta Caves, Eat either at Leopold, or at one of the restaurants at Taj Mahal Palace in case you do not choose to stay there.)

19th – Fly to Chennai in the morning and head to Mahabalipuram with an option to stay overnight at Taj Fisherman’s Cove

20th – Check out the structures in the morning after check out and head to Chennai in the evening

In case you arrive on Monday, 18th September (arrive into Chennai and spend two days in Pondicherry or one day each in Chennai and Mahabalipuram)

In case you arrive on 19th September (arrive into Chennai and spend the day either in Chennai or Mahabalipuram)

In case you arrive on 20th September (spend the day in Chennai and check out Kapaleeshwarar Temple, St Thomas Cathedral Basilica, Marina Beach, Fort St George) 

In case you arrive on 21st September, stay put and focus on WPRF and PRAXIS. You may extend your stay and pick any of the above itinerary  from 24th September onwards.
